Driving home last night.

BANANA: Why is the Lincoln Tunnel so long?
CBOY: Because that's how he freed the slaves.

I could believe that.

That's awesome!

We live near some underground railroad stops and I still catch myself thinking of them as "under the ground":) but I do know it wasn't really a railroad.

hahaha lol.

I sort of miss those holidays when we traveled through the tunnel.

My grandma lived in Manhattan and we would go there and bring her back to Philly.

Or go and squeeze into her studio apartment.

Now that is an awesome thought process!

BTW, don't ever drive through the Lincoln Tunnel in an open Jeep. Trust me.

makes perfect sense to me. There was a lot of slaves, therefore you need a big tunnel. Duh.

I love history when it is boiled down into short facts like that. Even I can understand it then.

Whoa - back up there -

This is a kid in 2nd Grade. Who among you even knew who Lincoln WAS at that age? Who among the white breaded types even knew what a slave was?

The knowlege that is simply taken for granted is absolutely mind boggling!

Perfect!

Not sure how I came across your blog, but I love your clean design. Maybe it's the purple, who knows. (oh, while I was here, I voted for you for the blogger's choice award!)
