Oddly enough, I remembered this post from last year this morning while brushing my teeth. I was going to troll through your archives to find it -- thanks for reposting. It is lovely.
This was the 1st post I read from your blog. Lois' niece had told everyone to go visit and that was how I first found you. This is a lovely tribute, Lorrie. It saddens me every time think about it.

Love everyone you care about a little extra today.
It doesn't seem like it was 8 years ago, does it?

Wow - very touching. It brought back so many memories for me of that day - watching helplessly from hundreds of miles away.
the picture of the shoes and briefcase make me cry.
we really must honor the ones we lost by living each day like its our last.
thanks.

I simply cannot believe it has been 8 years.
Loving NYC as much as I do, it breaks my heart over and over again when I see/hear about the events that day.
I think most of us permanently have those sights burned into our memories.
It also makes me sad that so little has been done to the WTC area to this point.
The day the world changed -
Thanks for the remembrance O_E
forti: Don't I wish.......
Still powerful.
Before 9-11, I could never understand when people said they new exactly where they were and what they were doing when JFK and MLK were assassinated.
Now I do.
That morning I was on the bus and I randomly told the girl who was sitting beside me (who probably thinks I'm crazy now)
"Something bad could be about to happen and know one will know about it till it does, isn't that scary"
I'll never forget that day.
