This is Sick

This blog is temporarily closed due to illness-and for once it is not connected to The Cocktail Flu. This blogess spent last night sleeping on a bath mat trying to throw up quietly, so as not to wake the children. I will be back when I can keep some saltines down.

In the meantime, I suggest you stock up on the Purell.

Oh no! Poor you. Get better soon. (and consider underfloor heating in the bathroom..... wonderful for those, um, all night chats on the big white telephone to God)

NO! I was wondering if you had retired to the sofa worrying too much about the smashed banana...
Do you know about Emetrol? its a lovely thing to have in the med cabinet for just what you have.
I'm not a doctor but I play one on your blog...

Eww! I recommend Ginger Ale, really!

I use that blasted anti-bacterial gel constantly, I smell like alcohol and my skin is always stinging but as far as I know I don't have any flu or MRSA.

Feel better! Stop puking!

oh, no! Quick! Is there an mail order chicken soup delivery place?

Hope you feel better soon!

I agree about the ginger ale - but you should not add bourbon to it for a few days.

Hope you're feeling better by now - it's almost Sunday!

Hmmm, haven't heard from you in a day, you haven't "expired" have you?

Maybe I should say an extra prayer tomorrow at church?

Oh friend,

I am sending some healing prayers your way! Wish I could stop by with some chicken soup for when you start to feel better. Throwing up is the WORST. You poor thing:(

Big healing hugs,

I hope you feel better soon! This is a horrible time of year for illness - with school starting and all the leaves going pretty and the temperature changing from one disgusting extreme to the other (we were nearly under a freeze watch the other night; today the high is supposed to be just over 80). Did you eat something bad, or get the stomach flu?

Ok, stop eating cotton balls...I know all the models are doing it to fill up these days but it's NO good for us regular folks...did you swallow one of those used ones?? ICK! no wonder you got sick....

Now, sleep, let hubby pamper you, drink ginger ale and eat saltines and watch bad tv and you'll be good as new!

Love and BIG cuddly get well hugs from my whole clan to you. Feel better kiddo!

I got in on this so missed the drama but am glad you are on the mend, Lorrie Dear. Maybe it was the stress of the near-squish experience with the "Nanner. Stress can cause all kinds of maladies (so can germs, though).

Let me know if you would like a Lortab. I am thinking of selling them through my blog. They're almost as good as a big glass of Chard but since I am on soft foods and no alcohol until at least Friday the Lortab will have to do double-duty.

Are you feeling better, dear heart? I have been thinking about you and sending you healing prayers.

I guess while I was away on a wild & crazy girls weekend, my sweet husband absconded off to NYC because I came home on Sunday & he has this crap!

Oh, it is awful! I feel so bad for you...and truly hope you are on the mend.

I'm feeding him Pedialyte. Hopefully it will keep him from getting dehydrated. (Oh - and it's supposed to be an awesome hangover helper!)

Feel better soon!
